This spiced pear liqueur and apple cider cocktail is a treat that can be served warm or cold as a Halloween cocktail!

Happy almost Halloween! We don’t know about you, but sometimes our Halloweens here in Nebraska are pretty cold! We wrap our kids up in costumes, coats, gloves and hats, so you can’t even see the costume. Or, if you can fit it over the coat, you do.

Witches Cauldron for Halloween Cocktail

In honor of this cold factor, we wanted a fun cocktail that was perfect for fall, as well as for Halloween.

A while back when we visited wine country, we made a visit to St. George Distilling and picked up some fantastic spiced pear liqueur. We used this liqueur as a the base for this delicious cider cocktail! Two simple ingredients for the cocktail base, and then we made some whipped cream to top it.

What Ingredients are Needed for the Eye Candy?

  • Spiced Pear Liqueur (or a pear liqueur)
  • Apple Cider
  • Heavy Cream
  • Amaretto Liqueur
  • Cinnamon
  • Eye Candy

We infused the whipped cream with amaretto, which played really well with the spiced pear liqueur and cider. This gave a nutty quality to the whipped topping, and then we added cinnamon on top. It was fall in a glass! Then we made it a “spooky” Halloween cocktail by adding some candy eyes, as well as putting it in a cauldron mug that we just think is so fun!

What’s better for fall than a cider based cocktail! It just screams autumn to us, and and then adding the pear liqueur, as well as amaretto, this is a must make, perfect for those chilly trick or treating nights!

Make one of these for Halloween, especially if it’s a chilly Halloween where you are too! Make sure to pair it with this great Halloween Charcuterie!
