This pineapple margarita is flavored with some spice with jalapeno infused triple sec!

A spicy Pineapple Margarita is always called for, right? We think so! Some great flavors have combined in this margarita to bring some great layers of spice and heat to the sweetness of the juice! A must make for all year long!

We started off this recipe with grilling some pineapple slices and then pureeing the slices to make for some grilled pineapple juice. This adds such a great depth to the pineapple, those grill marks add a lot of flavor! If you want it even sweeter, add some brown sugar to the pineapple to add a darker flavor. We didn’t this round, but have in the past, and it makes it very dessert like.

But you do you, you just need to make this grilled pineapple juice!

What Ingredients are Needed for the Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita?

  • Grilled Pineapple Juice
  • Jalapeno Infused Triple Sec
  • Aged Tequila
  • Lime Juice

We just added oil to the pineapple in this case, but wanted another layer of flavor too. To do that, we infused some triple sec with jalapenos. We sliced up a jalapeno and added the slices plus seeds into the triple sec. If you are a little afraid of the heat, leave out the seeds.

Since you have to grill pineapple and infuse the triple sec, this does take a little prep work. But, making the cocktail is so quick, as when you have all your ingredients, you just need 4 things and a shaker!

We preferred aged tequila (gold or anejo) in this, but blanco will work, it just may not be as flavorful. But, that’s just our opinion, and you do you! A pineapple margarita can trend on the sweet side for sure, but we feel grilling the pineapple changes the flavor to be deeper and less sweet.

Plus, this is why we added the spicy pepper, so we hope you try this pineapple margarita out, with the jalapeno spiciness! Or a simple Ranch Water, Raspberry Margarita, Lavender Margarita or Blackberry Margarita, too!

Cheers!
