Ever want to stay on a vineyard in Sonoma? If you want to stay at a wine country vineyard guest house we have a great list of some options for you!
We always think it’s such a pleasure to stay in wine country. So I have been inspired by places to stay onsite, as it’s more of an interactive experience. So, we decided to share some guesthouses that are located on property in Sonoma County. These overnight accommodations may have a night minimum, some have special pricing for wine club members and some offer a unique experience.

Sonoma Wine Region
Sometimes even the location of the vineyard guest house in wine country can be even better than a vacation rental or a hotel. You can be enjoying peace and relaxation in a quaint cottage or home. Plus, you are usually directly in the middle of vines, or have some of the best vineyard views on the property.
Most guest houses take advantage of the views and the lifestyle of the Sonoma wine region with a relaxing setting, views of the working vineyard and an overall country feel. They can also be a great central location for a small group of friends or a private group stay for a family.
The gorgeous vineyard views can be the best part. We have stayed on a winery before, at Thomas George Winery! For our group, we had 3 full bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, some with queen beds and the master bedroom was a king bedroom. We also had a gourmet kitchen, living room, large dining room table, private deck, pool (but it was too cold out), and a flat screen tv that we didn’t use. Vineyard Guest House
For those that travel often, it can get boring staying in hotel after hotel. We enjoy a vacation rental for this reason, especially so we can cook in a full kitchen! Breakfast to start the day, or a great dinner after a long day of wine tasting makes for a great vacation! We think a vineyard guest house gives a more authentic experience by staying on a working vineyard.
Knowing you can wake up and walk through the vineyards, or hearing animals around can really feel like a country getaway. Most have special personal touches that set your stay apart from the norm. When we stayed at Thomas George Winery, we were within easy walking distance to the tasting room and tasting cave, too!
Macrostie Winery – Sonoma
This is a great option for guests looking for that quintessential Wine Country escape among the vines. Please know that Napa has a few, but it is more rare for a Napa Valley vineyard to have a guest house. These are really more prominent in Sonoma County, and there are locations all over the county, from the edge of Napa county, all the way to the ocean.
Also know that a lot of these guesthouses require you to be a member of their wine club, but some do rates just for people visiting, so please make sure you know that before reserving.
If you are looking for a location to spread out in, a dining table to eat supper at, private balcony, or beautiful interior design, these locations offer it all.

Sonoma Vineyard Guesthouses
These vineyards in Sonoma have guesthouses that you can stay at. A great interactive way to be in wine country.
Azari Vineyards are located in Petaluma. They offer two vacation rentals, the Corkscrew Cottage and the Guest House. The guest house has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. The Corkscrew Cottage is perfect for up to 4 with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. All guests get a complimentary tasting at the winery.
Azari serves Petite Syrah, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Riesling.

Blue Rock Vineyard is located in Cloverdale, California. Their guest house accomodates 4 adults and was built in 1880. Antiques galore in the 2 bedroom/2 bath abode. Screened porch, outdoor fireplace and 1890s bocce court, and the ability to stroll the vineyards takes you away!
Blue Rock serves Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. They also have an estate olive oil.

Calluna Vineyards are located in Windsor, just north of Santa Rosa. Their guest house is a 2 bed, 2 bath home that is available. Hot tub and bocce court available on an 80 acre vineyard.
Callaluna offers an Estate Blanc, Cuvee, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec.
Coplan Vineyards is located on the west side of the Mayacama Mountains, in the Carneros AVA. They produce Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and more that are small and exclusive productions.
This luxury estate features a swimming pool and spa. 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, well appointed chef's kitchen and large dining room table. There is a 7 night minimum during the busy season. The stay includes an exclusive vineyard experience.

Dutton Estate Winery is in Sebestapol. Their house on the property is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house with some beautiful decks to enjoy the views!

Enriquez Estate Winery is in Forestville. The house is 2 bedroom and 1 bath. You have the opportunity to taste their wines, and they will upgrade you to their reserve tasting. They also have an in house tour driver that can help take you to tastings at other wineries.
Their wines are Pinot Noir and Tempranillo.

Freeman Winery is located in Sebastopol. Their cottage is among redwood trees, and has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It is just 10 miles from the California coast.

Gracianna Winery is located just south of Healdsburg, California. Listed as a Farm Stay, they have space for 2 guests in a 1 bed, 1 bath loft above their tasting room.

This vacation rental home is a beautiful property on the boutique vineyard of Gustafson. Surrounded by 20 acres of grape vines, there is a swimming pool, spa and gardens.
Main suite has a king bed, spa tub and more. Other rooms have king beds and private baths and showers. Full kitchen that will please any chef if you are cooking for yourself!
Halleck Vineyards is in Sebestapol. Their Vineyard Guest House is a one bedroom suites, with 1 bath, and is a private room in the vintner's home. You also have access to a fire pit and a Finnish bathhouse.
Halleck offers wines like PInot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewerztraminer, and White Zinfandel.

Jordan Vineyard and Winery is located in Healdsburg, California. Their guest suites and cottage are available to wine club members at the Jordan Chateau. Guests receive breakfast and complimentary transportation into and from Healdsburg for dinner.

Ketcham Estate Winery has a tasting room in the town of Healdsburg, but the guest house is located at their vineyard. It's an 1000 sq ft apartment that sleeps 4 with lovely views of the vineyard.

Lynmar Estate is located in Sebestapol. They have a guest house called Bliss House. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths and views overlooking Quail Hill Vineyard and the Laguna de Santa Rosa.
A seven night stay is required, as is being a wine club member.

Reeve Wines is in Healdsburg. The Reeve Villa is on property and offers a tasting with your stay. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Pool and hot tub along with a gorgeous view!

This airbnb is listed as a Farm Stay. Located just north of the city of Sonoma, this one is close to the city, which includes restaurants and shopping.

The Robledo Family winery is truly a family affair since 1997. They offer Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Barbera and Pinot Noir.

Roche Winery is located in Sonoma. They also have a tasting room in downtown Sonoma. Their guest house is on the 20 acre winery estate. 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath with a pool and hot tub.
Roche Winery serves a dry Rose, a Sparkling Brut Rose, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Tamarix, along with a ZInfandel.

Sapphire Canyon Vineyard is located in Geyserville. They grow 24 acres of grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel, which they sell to other wineries.
They offer a 2 bedroom, 1 bath house on property to rent.
There are trails on the 55 acre property and is on the Sonoma Bicycle ride trail.
Thomas George Estates is located south of Healdsburg. (This is the one we stayed at!)
They offer 3 different homes on the property, of all different sizes. If you want the discount for the houses, you need to be a member of their wine club.
Pinot Noir house (The one we stayed in) has 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms, a pool and a hot tub.
Chardonnay House has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a great deck area, hot tub and private horseshoe pit.
The Grenache House is a 1 bed, 1 bath with a small deck area and grill.
Thomas George has wine offerings of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Rose, Grenache Noir and Blanc, Zinfandel, Dessert wine, a blend and Viognier.

The Viszlay Vineyards guest house is perfect for a family trip or a group of friends! With 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, there is room for everyone!
All guests get a complimentary wine tasting experience on the weekend.
West Wines is located in Healdsburg. Their guest house had 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. It can sleep 8!
Has a hot tub almost right in the vineyards!
West Wines serve Cabernet Sauvignon and Red blends, Blanc de Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier along with Chardonnay and a dessert wine.

Zo wines is in Healdsburg. Their farm stay villa has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Your stay includes a wine sensory workshop and a bottle of their Zinfandel.
