This non alcoholic spritzer is the perfect drink for Dryuary or if you are wanting a great non ABV beverage!

Did you know that it’s citrus season? One of my favorite things about winter is that all the citrus fruits come to the store, and I am a little overly excited about it! Grapefruits, oranges, limes, lemons, BLOOD ORANGES! Sorry, didn’t mean to yell, but it’s the best, and we love to use it in cocktails!

That is how this non alcoholic drink was born. Me, dreaming of citrus! With only a few ingredients, this non alcoholic spritzer is so easy and so delicious! Grapefruit juice on it’s own can be pretty tart, but the sparkling water cuts through the sour and makes this spritzer smooth and tasty.

What Ingredients are Needed for the Grapefruit Spritzer?

  • Grapefruit Juice
  • Mint Simple Syrup (more info in recipe below)
  • Lime Sparkling Water

The combination of lime sparkling water and tart citrus is perfect for this winter season. Add a little added bit of mint simple syrup, and you’ve got a vacation in a glass in just a few seconds, with this tasty no abv cocktail!

If you enjoy the sweet and tangy taste of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice paired with the lovely flavor of mint, this no ABV cocktail is for you! The grapefruit juice and lots of lime with the mint is a refreshing combo and so easy to make!

What is the difference between cocktail and mocktail?

The difference between a cocktail and mocktail is that cocktail is a drink that mixes either one type of alcohol with juices, or mixes multiple alcoholic beverages with juices. A mocktail is any mixed drink that does not have alcohol!

We won’t hate it if you add gin, let’s be real. Just to get that out of the way. Don’t feel bad adding it, but we did make this one to be a specific non alcoholic spritzer!

Dry January

Now, let’s return to our regularly scheduled program and have a mocktail or two. If you are participating in Dryuary, as a lot of people are, where you don’t drink for the month of January, this will be a great option!

Grapefruit, oh it could possibly be the best of the citrus. This Grapefruit Non Alcoholic Spritzer is just the right balance of sweet, spicy and tart. This spritzer feels right at home with the winter weather we are having. Here’s to a brand new month, and a new decade! Also, what the heck happened to this year?
