They are a great summer drink, but we wanted to give this one a fall twist.
Fall Aperol Spritz
This fall cocktail is great to serve for Thanksgiving Dinner or even for Christmas! An easy cocktail recipe is always called for around this holidays, and this fit the bill. To make these Aperol Spritzes, no cocktail shaker is required.
Simply add ice cubes to a large wine glass and pour in your ingredients. Add in the Aperol, Chambord and ginger beer. Top with Prosecco. Feel free to add a splash of club soda if you want to keep the recipe closer to the classic. And that’s it, other than the garnish, and we have some suggestions below.
Tips & Tricks
- Garnishes – because this is a fall spritz, we wanted to make the warm spices of the season shine. In this case feel free to use cinnamon sticks, star anise or whole cloves. Some other ideas could be thyme sprigs, orange slice or apple slices. To make it festive you could also add a cinnamon sugar rim or spiced ice cubes with spices in them or make them with ginger beer.
- Glassware – a large wine glass is the obvious choice to fit all the bubbles and ice.
- Sweetener – if it isn’t sweet enough, feel free to add some simple syrup.
Cheers!
