Don’t get me wrong, I love plain hot chocolate too, but this thick hot chocolate is definitely better than hot cocoa mix.

Tips & Tricks

  • Garnish – feel free to use whipped cream and chocolate shavings, sprinkles, peanut butter chips or chocolate chips. Marshmallows are also great!
  • Glasswaremugs are always easiest for warm cocktails. And glass mugs are even classier, but use what you have!
  • Milk – feel free to use whatever milk you prefer. We love whole milk, but heavy cream makes it even more decadent. But, use coconut milk, almond milk, etc. Use what you can drink.
  • Boozy – more details in the recipe card below, but feel free to make this recipe boozy, too! Decrease the peanut butter to 1 teaspoon and add in 1.25 ounces peanut butter whiskey!
