This Mistletoe Martini cocktail is perfect for the Christmas season. A simple 3 ingredients, this gin martini is a great seasonal sip!
This Mistletoe Martini combines the flavors of cranberry and pine. Because this cocktail uses a fruit juice the flavor is refreshing and not heavy. So many Christmas and holiday drinks are sweet, creamy and heavy. For example Eggnog, which people either love or hate, but too much isn’t great, and lighter holiday cocktails are always a good choice. Make a great Christmas cocktail with our cranberry Ornament Cocktail!

We think this drink comes as a welcome alternative holiday cocktail. It features cranberry juice and pine simple syrup along with London Dry Gin to give it a nice bite, but is still refreshing.
We are in love with our pine simple syrup, and we think it just adds something magical to the flavor of this Christmas cocktail!
Mistletoe Martini
There are several cocktail recipes that use the name Mistletoe Martini, and they all seem pretty different. We have seen some with peppermint, some with elderflower, but to us, what is more winter or Christmas related than pine?
The overall flavor of our Mistletoe Martini is rich cranberry with hints of citrus. The citrus comes from both the gin and pine syrup and plays well with the London Dry Gin. It’s a simple and light flavor that we think you will love. Try Beefeater, Sipsmith or Tanqueray!
Pine Simple Syrup
This simple pine simple syrup gently infuses the flavor of a pine tree into the drink and is sure to get anyone into the Christmas spirit!
A note about sweetness in this cocktail, as the recipe calls for a half an ounce of pine simple syrup. That’s is a small amount that is enough to help the gin counteract the tartness of the cranberry juice.
You can certainly use more simple syrup if you would like, and you might want to do that, depending on what kind of cranberry juice you use. Some brands and some types of cranberry juice are sweeter or tarter than others.
All we ask is that you first try this mistletoe martini as the recipe is written, and then add more sweetener if you prefer it sweeter.
If you like this cocktail, you should also try the Pine Old Fashioned, which combines pine simple syrup with whiskey. And then there’s the Cranberry Mule, which is a mocktail featuring cranberry juice, lime juice and ginger beer.
The floral and herbaceous gin is complimented perfectly by the tart cranberry in this drink. Cheers!
