We love a good Old Fashioned cocktail, and this Cranberry Christmas Old Fashioned is perfect for the holidays! Cranberry Simple Syrup, Rye and bitters are a great combo!
We love a great Old Fashioned, but it is nice to occasionally mix it up with some seasonal additions. With Christmas coming up, we decided to embrace the Yuletide spirit and made a Christmas version of this classic cocktail! Cranberries are a classic Christmas ingredient and we always make sugared cranberries for Christmas to use as decorative garnishes and a special treat, making the sugared cranberries leaves us with an awesome cranberry syrup that just begs to be used in a cocktail.

Christmas Old Fashioned
A great rye is essential to a good Old Fashioned, so we started out with Koval Single Barrel Rye, a delicious 100% rye distilled in Chicago that is perfect for sipping neat, but also makes for an excellent base spirit in an Christmas Old Fashioned.
We really like the way the Koval Single Barrel Rye works in this drink, as it brings a warm hint of honey and Maine Maple Syrup and peppery spice. The maple flavor works really well at Christmas, pour it in with this jigger. Make sure to get this winter Old Fashioned cocktail, the Pine Old Fashioned!
