Like in the liquid form of a creamsicle popsicle, this is the adult version as an Orange Dreamsicle Drink!

Here is an adult twist on the classic Dreamsicle popsicle you remember as a kid. And, if you don’t remember that, you will still love this orange cocktail! Try fresh orange juice in our Citrus Fizz, too!

Dreamsicle Cocktail

One of Jay’s favorite childhood treats was the orange dreamsicle, a delicious icy treat especially on a hot summer day. The original creamsicle combined an orange popsicle with creamy vanilla ice cream that made for a perfect if somewhat sticky summer treat. This creamy drink takes that wonderful treat and makes an adult beverage out of it, plus the drink is less sticky, even with simple syrup.

If you skip the vodka, it makes non-alcoholic drinks similar to Orange Julius, so this could be a nice NA drink as well!  This drink was a great dessert or perfect to beat the heat on a warm summer night.

Tips & Tricks

  • Vodka – if you want to switch it up a bit, use some flavored vodka. Try some whipped cream vodka, vanilla vodka or orange vodka.
  • Garnish – orange wedges or orange slices work great!
  • Sparkling Water – if you don’t want to use plain sparkling water, use a flavored one to highlight the orange flavors. Try orange or lemon sparkling water.
  • Float – make this an even more dessert cocktail by mixing it up without ice and topping a scoop of vanilla ice cream with it.

Cheers!
