There are a few Nutty Irishman recipes floating around online, and they all seen to have different ways to make it, but there are two main ingredients: Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur) and Irish cream. Some recipes add Irish whiskey, some use coffee liqueur, others hot coffee. We combined some of these to make our own. But, the key to a good Nutty Irishman, is the pairing of nutty and creamy liqueurs.

The name references the nutty hazelnut liqueur and two types of Irish alcohol. A Nutty Irishman drink can of course be served at a St Patrick’s Day party, but also all winter long!

How to Make a Nutty Irishman

This cocktail is simple, and no cocktail shaker is needed. Brew about one cup of strong coffee, then pour around 6 ounces of coffee into a glass mug. Make sure the mug is big enough to all the alcohol and garnish, too!
