Homemade syrups are our jam, you know that! They have a fairly good shelf life in an airtight container in the fridge for a couple weeks, and are so much better than artificial flavor store-bought ones.Try our other flavors like Strawberry syrup, pear simple syrup, peach syrup, Rhubarb simple syrup, cranberry syrup and more!

Simply use a seedless watermelon to make a large batch, and use the rest of the melon for a fruit salad! Cut some watermelon chunks, place into a food processor and blend.

From there, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve and discard solids. Then, warm the fresh watermelon juice over low heat with a cup sugar in a medium saucepan. When the mixture is syrupy pour syrup into a mason jar and cool. Just some basic ingredients needed and you have a fantastic refreshing ingredient to use all season!

Tips and Tricks

  • Sweetener – if you don’t want to use granulated sugar, feel free to use brown sugar, maple syrup or agave nectar instead.
  • Cold Press Syrup – you can make a cold press syrup instead of warming the syrup. Simply combine the watermelon juice and your sweetener of choice and just let it sit and combine into a syrup overnight. This is also a great idea as watermelon syrup recipes go.
