And yes, it is garnished with its own Demogorgon like special effect. Don’t worry, no spells required.

A Delicious Cocktail Fit for the Upside Down

For this delicious cocktail, we wanted something that felt classic with a twist, kind of like discovering that your quiet small town has an interdimensional portal under it. So we landed on a combo that is equal parts nostalgic and tasty. The Stranger Things drink has Campari, London Dry Gin, White Vermouth, and Grand Marnier

Since this one is just booze, it is stirred in a mixing glass, no cocktail shaker required. Pour into a chilled coupe, and it is bitter, citrusy, and aromatic all at once. We think the flavors are complex enough for cocktail lovers, but easy for any at-home bartender to mix up before the premiere night countdown hits zero.

Top it with a dried dragonfruit chip, and suddenly the drink looks like it wandered out of Hawkins red-hued portals. It’s eerie and gorgeous.

Stranger Things Cocktail

If you’re planning a watch party this drink plays well with an entire line-up of Stranger Things cocktails. Think of it as the chic older cousin to the fun concoctions you might grab at Scoops Ahoy, but think grown-up, i.e. boozy shakes or fun shakes. So, like this Upside Down Milkshake!

You can even batch this recipe if you’re hosting a big group. This spirit-forward mix scales easily, and next to a themed spread (80s snacks, anyone?) makes your living room feel like Hawkins ready to party, or panic. Try some Eggo Sliders, Demogorgon Strawberrries, or a Stranger Things cake!

One of our favorite aspects of this drink is the vibe. Something supernatural and beautiful. With its deep red hue and dragonfruit garnish, it looks like it’s been transported from beneath the vines and shadows of a Demogorgon filled forest. Perfect for savoring theories about what’s coming next in the final season.

Upside Down Cocktail

This could be named the upside down cocktail perfect to sip while refreshing your memory on past seasons (Steve’s hair alone deserves a tribute drink), and just as great for decompressing after watching when you need to talk to someone. Maybe several someones.

Bookmark this one for Wednesday night, and for every intense episode that follows. Grab your mixing glass, Hawthorne strainer and pour something hauntingly good.
