This Lemon Infused Vodka is simple to make and adds so much flavor to cocktails. Use it to add a tart taste to drinks or lemon flavor to your favorite cocktail using citrus vodka.
We love making our own infusions of things, whether it comes to craft vodka with other flavors like rhubarb vodka, strawberry infused vodka, or really any of our simple syrup recipes by using herbs, flowers and spices.

Using real ingredients for this lemon infused vodka makes all the difference in taste. Fresh lemons add so much to this citrus-infused vodka, (you could do this with oranges, grapefruit, tangerines and more!) Simply cut the fruit into lemon slices and place in a mason jar. Cover with vodka and let sit to infuse for 48-72 hours. We like it the best around 48 hours, but taste it and see if it is the level of lemon flavor that you want.
Lemon Vodka
Keep in mind that the real lemon juice in this homemade lemon vodka will change the color of the vodka to a yellow color. Not clear like store bought flavored vodkas. Use this lemon vodka as the base spirit in a Vodka Collins with soda water, Lemon Drop, Vodka Lemonade or even a Lemon Vodka Tonic.
If you don’t want the darker yellow color from the lemon juice you can just use citrus peels. So, use a vegetable peeler and take off the lemon zest (try not to get a lot of pith, the white stuff) as that will make the vodka bitter. Then do the same thing as instructed above, add the peels to a mason jar and top with vodka. Let infuse for a few days!
We hope you try this simple vodka infusion!
Cheers!
