These air fryer pound cake bites are the perfect dippers for the Bailey’s Hot Fudge Sauce!

We wanted to do a super easy dessert with the Mealthy CrispLid Air Fryer, and these pound cake bites are what we came up with. Store bought or homemade pound cake, dipped in Bailey’s Hot Fudge sauce is so decadent! We of course wanted a boozy dessert, cause it’s what we do, and this was so tasty and easy to make!

Mealthy CrispLid

Counter space and kitchen storage is at a premium at our house, how about yours? It’s hard to fit it all in your kitchen, and of course your electric pressure cooker is there! Mealthy is taking your pressure cooker to the next level with the CrispLid. It’s a fun and fast way to convert any 6 or 8 quart electric pressure cooker into an air fryer.

Mealthy’s CrispLid features easy-to-use controls, dishwasher safe accessories, and it fits on top of your pressure cooker!

There are even great recipes on the Mealthy Website, along with an app for ease of use as well!

We got to try out the CrispLid and of course we had to make something boozy to go with whatever we made! We knew we wanted to do a dessert, so we definitely wanted something easy. Of course, we thought right away of something dippable for a party, and these cake bites came to mind. The perfect accompaniment to these cake bites is a boozy chocolate dip, right? So we made some!

Bailey’s Chocolate Fudge Sauce

This fudge sauce is sweet and boozy, and entirely smooth and dippable. It’s a super easy fudge and is easy to warm up after being stored in the fridge. Bailey’s was a great additive to this fudge, which made it light and creamy, and boozy!

Raspberry Pound Cake

We picked a raspberry pound cake for the extra flavor of the fruit in the cake! Went really well with the easy fudge sauce! The pound cake crisped up really well in the Mealthy CrispLid, we flipped them over after the first few minutes to make sure they were toasted on all sides.

Air Fryer Dessert

Using the Mealthy CrispLid was super easy for this dessert recipe. Here’s how to use the Mealthy CrispLid with your electric pressure cooker. First, unplug your pressure cooker, and remove your pressure cooker lid. Rest the crisp lid your stainless steel inner cooking pot.

Lower the handle until you hear it click. Press the temperature button to select a cooking temp. (It goes from 300 to 500°F in 25 degree increments). Then select a cooking time.

What Ingredients are Needed for the Bailey’s Hot Fudge Sauce?

  • Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Butter
  • Baking Chocolate
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Salt
  • Brown Sugar
  • Light Corn Syrup
  • Heavy Cream

Press the triangle start button to begin the cycle. The heating element lights up and cycles on and off while it cooks to maintain the selected temperature. When food is cooked, or desired crispiness, just turn off the CrispLid and place it on the silicone trivet to cool.

CrispLid Accessories

The CrispLid air fryer comes with a 3-inch tall metal trivet, a mesh air frying basket, stainless steel tongs, and a silicone trivet. The silicone trivet is a really nice touch because the air fryer is HOT after using. It’s nice to have a dedicated, safe place to set it on.

The fryer basket only holds so much, so we did have to do 2 batches to make enough for a dessert tray. But, overall, we have made dinners in it, breakfasts, and desserts like these. The ease of use and interesting foods you can make in it have made our meals really fun!

  • 1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

It looks like a cake and a crouton fell in love and decided to go swimming in a delicious boozy chocolate pool. Alright, maybe not my best comparison, but MAN these look good! I love the idea of a shareable cake - perfect for a party or potluck. I've been wanting to try an air-fryer for a while now, and it's encouraging to see unique recipes like this out there in the world. Cheers!
