Need a pick me up for these cold winter days? We have the tropical rum punch cocktail for you, then!

Around the holidays our schedule always seems to be one big crazy tangle of activities, from holiday concerts for the kids, hanging decorations and shopping for gifts, but somehow we manage to find a way to get it all done. The other day we had an especially busy day and thankfully Leah is super organized and had her ever present to do list to keep us on track, crossing off those items until there was just one last thing on the list, relax!

Tropical Rum Punch

Some days you just need to celebrate an accomplishment and what is a better way to celebrate than by sitting back and relaxing with a nice cocktail like our Tropical Rum Punch?

A tropical cocktail like our Tropical Rum Punch might be thought of as a summery cocktail. But we thought why not bring a little bit of that warm sunny tropical feel to the chase away the chill. Especially from those cold hikes across a parking lot in winter by having a fun tropical drink full of bright citrus? One easy way to go and get a really great citrus flavor without adding a huge amount of stuff to your to do list (buying fruit, cutting fruit, juicing fruit) is to reach for some great Tropicana Pineapple Mango with Lime Premium Juice!

What to Mix With the Juice?

When we think of a tropical location, we always think about great tropical fruit flavors like pineapple and mangoes and lots of great citrus. Sweet and tangy, the flavors are deliciously bright and bring that feeling of the tropics right to your home! However juicing a pineapple or a mango is not a simple task, especially when compared with just grabbing a bottle the next time you are at the grocery store!

What Ingredients are Needed for the Tropical Rum Punch Cocktail?

  • Bitters
  • Champagne
  • Tropicana Pineapple Mango Juice
  • Orange Liqueur
  • Aged Rum

This is where Tropicana and their Tropicana Pineapple Mango with Lime comes in by doing all the hard work and and bottling up all the delicious tropical flavor for you. It’s in a convenient bottle with no artificial flavors or sweeteners, just pure delicious juice! This pineapple juice tastes really great with out that metallic flavor that canned pineapple juices can get.

Add in the mango and its smooth slightly sour juice and you can see why Tropicana loved this combination! Why not just open a bottle and enjoy all those great tropical flavors with one easy twist?

What Flavors for this Cocktail?

We love a good rum punch, and having a great blend of flavors like pineapple, mango and lime juice to mix some rum with makes for an easy delicious cocktail! The great thing is that this recipe could easily be scaled from a single cocktail like we have here to a big punch bowl that you can share with all your friends!

Rum is a great spirit for use in anything tropical. The best ones come from tropical climates where lots of sugar cane is grown, right near fruit like pineapples and mangoes!

Rum, pineapple and mangoes are a match made in heaven. When you mix a great tasting product like Tropicana Pineapple Mango with Lime with some good aged rum, you are already on your way to a great cocktail! Add in a little orange liqueur and bitters for a little spice and this cocktail is a great sipper!

Champagne, too? Yep!

But for just a little bit more of a festive edge, we topped our cocktail with a splash of champagne to add an effervescent lightness to the Tropical Rum Punch!

Oh, I haven't seen this particular kind of juice in my local stores but it sounds delicious. Mango and Pineapple? Sign me up. I totally agree that we need a bit of tropical sunshine in the middle of a very cold winter. No need to wait for the summer to enjoy it. And all the healthy vitamins are good now. The drink sounds delicious!
