Holiday Berry

We love easy cocktails for a party, because we all know how hard it is to be the mixologist for a lot of people (especially when you want to be sure to be social with your friends!) and this drink is the perfect one for this holiday season! We were contacted by Smirnoff Ice to make two food items and two cocktails for them for the holiday season. So we knew we could make a new quick and easy cocktail for upcoming events this year!

We started out by making a fresh cranberry simple syrup for this drink to give it a great holiday flavor. The cranberry syrup is a nice contrast of sweet and tart, plus anything cranberry feels festive during the holiday season! The cranberry also adds a deep red color which really looks fantastic!

What Flavors for A Holiday Cocktail?

Once we had our fresh cranberry syrup ready, we added some triple sec orange liqueur to it, since orange and cranberry go so well together. We then added some apple cider for some fresh fall flavor, and then used a combination of two flavors of Smirnoff Ice, the Original and Strawberry!

We loved the combination of the two Smirnoff Ice flavors, the lemon and lime in the original and the strawberry a nice combination of tart and fruity sweetness, which meant we didn’t have to add in lemon juice for the fresh flavor. Instead we placed a lemon peel on the edge of the glass, which we encourage you to do, so you still get the fresh perfume of lemon, but without the sourness of the lemon juice.

What Ingredients are Needed for the Holiday Berry Sparkler Cocktail?

  • Original Smirnoff Ice
  • Strawberry Smirnoff Ice
  • Cranberry Simple Syrup
  • Triple Sec
  • Apple Cider

The fizziness in these holiday drinks come from the Smirnoff Ice and it is the perfect finish for the tartness of the cranberry simple syrup and sweetness of the cider.
