A combination of banana and Nutella dessert in a hand held pie? Yes, please!

 

These hand pies are sweet little treats that are perfect for a school lunch, a simple dessert or a quick on the go snack.  Combining the rich creamy chocolate flavor of Nutella and banana dessert in a flaky buttery pastry crust, everyone in our family enjoyed these little gems.

Nutella and Banana Hand Pies

What Ingredients are Needed for Nutella and Banana Hand Pies?

  • Egg Wash
  • Pie Crust
  • Nutella
  • Banana
  • Milk

Nutella Banana Hand Pies on parchment paper

Banana and Nutella Hand Pies Dessert

Prep Time: 1 hour
Cook Time: 12 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 12 minutes

Banana and chocolate meld together in these little pies of goodness. Easy for kids to make, too!

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon milk
  • 16 Tablespoons Nutella
  • 1 banana
  • Pie Crust
  • egg wash (1 egg yolk, 1 Tbsp water)

Instructions

Place 1 Tbsp Nutella and 1 slice of banana on 1/2 of a pastry round. We made a 5 inch round glass to cut the 16 hand pies.

Dab milk on edges of round, fold other side over.

Seal with your fingers, then use a fork to finish sealing. Flute the edge with a fork, making it as pretty as you want.

Preheat oven to 400°.

Finish all the other hand pies, brush with egg wash for browning.

Bake for 10-12 minutes.
